An Average Day in Children’s Court, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Jump to Comments
Albuquerque Tribune reporter Susie Gran covers the action in Albuquerque’s Children’s Court presided over by Judge Marie Baca. Baca and two other Children’s Court judges estimate they hear an average of 2,300 cases a year - a mounting and emotionally draining case load. Gran follows 18 cases through the system and follows up on the kids some months later. The profiles portray a telling and all too familiar story.
